Why This Blog Exists
I run production systems for a living — monitoring them, instrumenting them, and being the person who gets paged when they misbehave. Along the way I accumulate a lot of small, hard-won lessons that never make it into a runbook or a ticket.
This is where those go.
What you’ll find here
- Observability — tracing, metrics, logs, and the glue between them. OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, Prometheus, and the pipelines that feed them.
- Infrastructure — containers, namespaces, networking, and the layers underneath the abstractions we lean on every day.
- Reliability — SLOs, incident response, and the operational habits that keep systems boring in the best way.
Why a separate site
My portfolio is the highlight reel. This is the lab notebook — rougher, more frequent, and written for the next engineer trying to understand why, not just what.
More soon.
